According to the reports by The People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Iran’s new president, Ebrahim Raisi, was inaugurated by the country’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. During the regime’s rigged election in June, the supreme leader set the stage for Raisi to become the next president, ensuring that the supreme leader’s commands are executed without question.
State Media Warns of Raisi’s Imminent Fall
However, we can see this in people’s chants these days, when they cry “death to Khamenei,” “death to the principle of Velayat-e Faqih,” and, of course, “death to Raisi” on the streets throughout Iran.
At the same time, the people’s boycott of the election shows that they do not want this cruel and brutal administration.
The execution of the people during the previous four decades
Regardless, the country’s and people’s issues are considerably bigger than this government’s size, as the expertise of its head was and is the repression and the execution of the people during the previous four decades.
On August 3, the state-run daily Etemad published an article in which Abbas Abdi of the so-called reformist faction was cited. He stated that the people had no optimism that the situation will improve with Raisi’s entrance, but rather that it will worsen, and he warned the president and the elements entering his cabinet.
Crises that have wreaked havoc on society’s core
“The situation is not favorable at all to start work. Of course, yourself have chosen this and you have made promises that cannot be fulfilled, and this society will understand, but the situation has worsened in several ways since June 18, when you have been elected,” Abbas Abdi added.
The fact is that these issues and crises did not occur suddenly and will not be resolved fast; rather, they are the outcome of this regime’s terrible four-decade dominance. Crises that have wreaked havoc on society’s core.
The critical situation in the country
It is not without purpose that the Jahan-e-Sanat newspaper wrote, citing Raisi’s relatives’ statements and comments:
“The worrying news is that the relatives of Ibrahim Raisi emphasize the critical situation in the country and sometimes say that miracles should not be expected from Raisi and his future government.” Wrote Jahan-e-Sanat, on August 3. “This position probably means retreating from the promises and visions that Ibrahim Raisi and his like-minded people have already presented to the people. Because the situation has not changed significantly since the last months when those visions and promises were expressed.”
Raisi’s government would be ineffective
The Mostaghel newspaper reportedly predicts that Raisi’s government would be ineffective and crippled in the future. “Increasing sanctions, new coronavirus peaks, water and electricity crises, environmental disasters, and, most importantly, popular protests,” according to this newspaper, “all can oust Raisi from the start.”
Especially the new coronavirus variants, which researchers anticipate will kill a third of patients.
Raisi’s government will be useless and crippled in the future
Raisi’s government, according to the newspaper, will be useless and crippled in the future. According to this newspaper, “increased sanctions, new coronavirus peaks, water and electricity crises, environmental disasters, and, most importantly, popular protests” can “all oust Raisi from the start.” Especially the new coronavirus types, which are expected to kill a third of victims, according to researchers.
