The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the coronavirus death toll in 533 cities surpasses 244,800.
The coronavirus fatalities
The number of victims in Tehran has reached 56,301, Isfahan 15,960, Khorasan Razavi 15,785, Khuzestan 14,549, Mazandaran 10,445, Lorestan 10,343, East Azerbaijan 9,823, West Azerbaijan 9,178, Qom 8,755, Gilan 8,581, Fars 7,182, Alborz 6,083, Sistan and Baluchestan 5,641, Hamedan 5,588, Kermanshah 4,884, Yazd 4,407, Semnan 4,290, Qazvin 2,774, Hormozgan 2,750, and Ilam 2,501.

The head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) Alireza Zali, said: The Khuzestan Province’s experience with the British virus is repeated. Tehran must be closed for a week to 10 days. (ISNA news agency, April 6, 2021)
The deputy head of the NCCT in Tehran Nader Tavakoli said: Every 24 hours, 1,000 COVID-19 patients are admitted to Tehran hospitals; 103 out of 175 hospitals are dealing with COVID-19, and 5,000 outpatients receive treatment daily. (ISNA, April 6, 2021)

University expert
Ahvaz University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: There are currently 1,838 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, of whom 407 are in ICU. (IRNA, April 6, 2021)
Tehran’s Baghiatollah University dean said: “300 patients with Covid-19 symptoms are seeking medical attention each day. With the increase in the number of people hospitalized, we are forced to turn ordinary sections into Covid-19 branches. We were expecting for Tehran to be under lockdown, but this decision has yet to be made,”.
Shiraz Medical Sciences University dean said: “3500 new coronavirus cases have been identified in the past two days and the Hazrat-e Ali Asghar and Faghihi hospitals are packed. Currently, coronavirus patients are being sent to Chamran Hospital. Furthermore, Dastgheib Hospital, set to be a backup facility for Covid-19, has been prepared once again to provide medical care,”
Alborz Medical Sciences University dean said: “With 14 coronavirus deaths reported in the past 24 hours, the total number of Covid-19 victims in this province stands at 2943,”.

Maryam Rajavi statament
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said: The horrific and new wave of Coronavirus is due to the clerical regime’s criminal policies.
Khamenei has ultimate responsibility for the massive death toll by banning the import of the vaccines into the country while refusing to provide the bare minimums for workers from hundreds of billions of dollars pillaged Iranian people’s wealth, amassed in institutions he controls. In doing so, he has forced them to go to the COVID-19 killing field to make ends meet.
(PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI): Mrs. Rajavi said that the people were fighting the coronavirus just like they do when struggling against the inhuman clerical regime. She emphasized the importance of taking frontline action against the regime such as protesting and striking.
