MEK: The Nuclear Deal With Iran’s Ruling Mullahs Overshadows Other More Important Issues
According to reports tallied by Iran’s main opposition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI), and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), the west appears to be giving too much attention to the troubled JCPOA nuclear agreement with Tehran rather than looking at other malign activities.
EU favoring appeasing the mullahs
It was the French Foreign Minister, Jean Yves Le Drian, who recently complained that the US maximum pressure campaign was counterproductive and his inference was that the new administration should withdraw from such a confrontational attitude.
Tehran has been insisting that it is up to the U.S. to stop all sanctions imposed on Iran. The Biden administration has actually signaled otherwise. It is calling on the regime to reduce their nuclear stockpiles and scale back their recent activity. The EU, on the other hand, is not so hot on this position, favoring a more conciliatory approach.
Mullahs continuing meddling in affairs beyond their borders
The unfortunate consequence of such a policy strategy towards Iran is that it rewards malign activity and encourages them to continue meddling in affairs beyond their borders, including subsidizing terrorist activities and terrorist groups.
It is the JCPOA that has been the main consideration by EU lawmakers up to the present, but recent developments may start to change their minds.
Now Assadi’s masters should be brought to trial
The trial of Assadollah Assadi, Iran’s diplomat/terrorist, came to an end after a Belgian court makes its final deliberation on Assadollah Assadi, the Iranian diplomat, and his three accomplices. It has been made abundantly clear throughout the trial that Assadi’s masters should be brought to trial rather than Assadi, sooner rather than later.
The Iranian Opposition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI), and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) maintains that the main target in the attack was Maryam Rajavi.
In the end, no-one was injured because Assadi and the other three terrorists were caught and arrested before the deed was done.
Although it is almost certain that the four protagonists will e sentenced to lengthy prison sentences, as long as the real culprits in Tehran remain scot-free, they will revel in their ability to do what they want, whenever they want, without penalty.
The result will be that even if the EU leaders attempt to maintain a focus on maintaining the JCPOA, Iran may consider they can afford to ignore it and continue to develop nuclear weapons, the very aim which precipitated the push to create the agreement in the first place.
